You rock my world, you know you do..

I just had a nosebleed in the shower. Least sexy shower in history of mankind. I even got shampoo in my eyes to add to the beauty of it.

It was like some messed up cheap horror film, there was blood and bubbles everywhere.

Still not feeling good, but might be feeling better (not sure if that's true or if I'm just trying to convince myself..)

Good morning!

Listening to some real morning music.

I'm still quite ill and hardly feel my normal self but you've always got to make the most of being awake at this time of day by putting on the appropriate music hehe.

Off to another day of work doing backstage for The Importance of Being Earnest. This isn't normally something I'd put on here, but I think everyone should come.

The Attic Theatre, Cox's Yard, Stratford
10th, 11th & 12th August (Monday - Wednesday)

The Custard Factory, Birmingham
13th, 14th & 15th August (Thursday-Saturday)

You can buy the tickets directly from the venue, but they are also available here:
http://www.theticketsellers.co.uk/buy_tickets/organisers/?id=2509

All performances are at 8pm, and cost £8 (Concessions are £6.50, for all you students)

Ughhhh.

I'm super ill. Hoping it's just my Summer Cold that I get most years, and nothing to do with influenza of the swine variety.

I have one day to recover, although I'm sure that they could just about manage without me for the play for a day or two if necessary lol.

IN OTHER NEWS

I've just realised that I'm well on my way to getting a cold.

My throat seems to have some kind of knife sitting inside it.

Wow. Dontcha wish your girlfriend was flipping hot like me.

If I knew the words to Disturbia I'd put them here but I don't

Today it came to our attention that our burglar alarm was going off. Despite our efforts and frantic typing of the code into the numberpad, the alarm seems to be doing as it pleases.

It has been silent for about twenty minutes now, so we're hoping it's one back to sleep. But you never know.

We're a bit confused because we haven't set that alarm once in the four years that we've lived here lol.

ETA: Dad came home and cut the wires on the house alarm that my mother claims probably cost rather a lot of money.

We came to the conclusion that it was probably better to cut the wires and live in peace than sit around with the incessant noise blaring in our ears and commenting that it's "definitely worth the money that someone else spent"

Still ill. Ughh.

A note from a desk covered in tissues and empty strepsil packets

Hi everyone. This is a public announcement:

I AM POOR.

I am making this announcement because I am currently even more broke than normal. This is mainly due to the fact that I am not yet recieving my pocket money from the goverment (ema?)

Here is the contents of my purse:

So if you're planning to invite me to anything, just ask yourself first if it's something that I can do with a grand total of £1.55 at my command.

*coughs violently*

Eh. Illness. It is not pleasant. I think I've got a fever again, no idea why it keeps happening at this time of the day. Will have to get up and get some kind of drug from the kitchen cupboard at some point in the near future.

You know what? I still can't believe that there are people who don't love travel. I mean, I can.. but at the same time I think they must be completely bonkers. I find myself reading random stuff like this and being really interested. I don't even drink coffee, and I have no intention of going to Vietnam, but I really enjoy reading it all the same. Strange that, it's probably just the fever talking xD

illness

I thought you might like to see how I'm doing. Uhh literally.

I'm still feeling poorly (and playing on Corel Photo-Paint) buutt I took I took some fun photos of my environment, seeing as I took nearly all the photos off this blog.

Lookie:

Oh-so-pleasant bin full of tissues! Hahha. You know you wanted to see that. There are also bits of Christmas in there that I forgot to throw away.
This is what my hair looks like when I don't attack it with straighteners. Now you know why I get up so early lol.
Harry the Hot Water Bottle! - the actual hot water bottle is hidden inside lol.
I dressed up Marvin... As a Grandma... I dunno, they get ill too, right?
Cosy slippers! :D So stylish lol.And finally, my super marvelous exciting amazing hot chocolate!

With a very, very secret recipe. BUT I'M GOING TO TELL YOU ANYWAY BECAUSE I AM NICE.

With bullet points. I can tell you're on the edge of your seat.

  • First, get a mug. I am using a rather brilliant Piglet mug that my mum bought yesterday.
  • Stick the kettle on. Make sure there is enough water in it first. (You can probably do this recipe with milk, if you are not fond of using water. Being a picky person myself, I don't mind if you break that rule)
  • Find some marshmallows (or buy some especially for the occasion) and chuck about four in (Hey! You're ill! You have to be generous. It's the law.)
  • Dig around your cupboards for some Golden Syrup. This is the key bit that I made up BY MYSELF. Measure about two spoonfuls in, or just tip the tin in and guess. You might as well. You're ill.
  • Get some hot chocolate powder. Make sure it's not a completely useless brand like Smart Price or something. That's a waste of golden syrup. Get something good like Cadburys or Galaxy. Or whatever. I use the FairTrade stuff, which is very tasty and is kind to farmer people. Or something. Stick in as much as you feel is necessary. Nobody will judge you for putting in more than the recommended amount in (especially if there's nobody else in the kitchen)
  • Tip some sugar in. Remember you've already got the golden syrup in there, and whatever sweeteners came with the hot chocolate powder. But why not, you're ill! I stick in about two teaspoonfuls.
  • By this time, there should be just enough time to pour in some cold milk. You should remember that this will affect the temperature of the drink, but there are extra steps you can take to make sure that bit's perfect.
  • Pour in your hot water and stir to your hearts content!
  • Leave standing/keep stirring until the marshmallows are completely melted. Otherwise they're pointless lol.

screaming does not help.

Today I am ill.

Well, not really. There's nothing much wrong with me.

Except that I can't talk.

I had never really noticed before how much I use my voice, or how high it is usually. As a late reaction to my sore throat (which was SO yesterday), my voice went at some point in the night. So yeah, I've sounded stupid all day.

...(an hour or so later):

Okay so I forgot I was writing this and went to watch TV lol. I'm going to bedd. Let's all hope that I'll sound normal again tomorrow xD

Niiigghhhtt xx
