Oh gosh.

So, what happens when you combine one of my favourite Actresses ever and one of my favourite childhood authors?

The combination of bliss and joy that is Enid - that's right, Helena Bonham Carter is taking on the role of Enid Blyton.

I don't care what people think, I always totally adored Enid's stories. I still sometimes pretend to like Ginger Beer!

So today I finished reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

For the first half of the book (about 150 pages) I was feeling a lot like this:

But I'll confess that the second half of the book was actually not too bad. Maybe I was just more in the mood for it. The book's main flaw is that there seems to be no real reason for Darcy to like Lizzy at all. He mentions that he likes her eyes and the next moment it's all "Marry me!"

Also, Jane, naming a character after yourself then describing her as the really beautiful one is not doing anything for your vanity. Just sayinngg..

I actually only read the book in the first place becuase I decided a long time ago that I would make some kind of attempt to read some of the stuff that might come in handy next year. To do a Literature degree without reading P&P seemed a bit bad. So I've done it! (It took me about a week of perseverance lol)

But seeing as I was in the mood I decided to watch the film as well. The Keira Knightley one.

She is not Elizabeth Bennet. Sorry :/ The "Mrs Darcy" bit at the end made me want to be sick.

In other newz - I went to see a play today! It was a comedy about Moby Dick. My mum can only describe it as "ridiculous", and I, being in the mood for such phrases, can only describe it as "utterly nonsensical".

It was really good though haha :P (the mermaid was a tad freaky though. I just kept thinking "I'm ooolddd Grreeeggg")

You know what I miss?

The big rocky hill that I used to have outside my house in Turkey. I used to go up there sometimes by myself to have a little think, but there's nothing like that here. Every inch of the city is filled with roads, houses, or tiny little parks full of creepy old men and noisy chavs.

More positive news: I'm wearing loads of bracelets! I've decided to start wearing them, because I really like them. But I'm not really used to having stuff on my wrist except my watch which I haven't worn for about two years now! This bracelet thing might not last long, but I'm interested to see if I get used to it, or if I just go mad with "WTH IS ON MY WRIST??" every half a minute xD

Okay I'll stop talking now haha.

Errmm. This is Harry Potter fan-art. I know I'm a geek, I don't have any excuses for myself haha. This is a picture of Quidditch fangirl trying to cheer up the nervous Hufflepuff team before a game. Other innocent breakfast-eaters are a little alarmed and do not want to be associated.

Also I went to see this Romani (Gypsy) music thing this evening and it was really brilliant :D I'll probably spend all of tomorrow trying to find their music online hehe.

I've never been so upset and jealous about not being invited to something.

Did you know that the word 'Lunch' comes from the word 'Lunchentach'??

I think I might wear a shamefully ugly hoodie today & NO ONE WILL KNOW! (except you)

Sometimes I purposefully don't get dressed until school kids are on their way home. It's just a celebration of freedom and laziness I think :P

It's kind of weird to think that at this time of year for the last thirteen years I would have been at school, and now I'm sitting in my dressing gown, listening to music and essentially not really doing anything. I used to dream of having a life like this haha.

I will have to start work soon though, so all this joy will be ruined I suppose..

So anyway, I just found the song from the cassette tape on youtube and it brought back so many memories! Including that one time when I was dancing so enthusiastically that I broke the glass light fitting in the living room.. :P
